Prior to joining DECALIA, François Babel was a Managing Director at Pictet & Cie where he spent thirty years managing the wealth of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families worldwide.
François Babel studied Economics at the University of Geneva and holds a diploma of Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager CIIA.
Senior Trader
Maurice Basso spent seventeen years at Banque SYZ as a trader first, then as Head of Trading.
Maurice Basso began his career in the ‘80s on the trading floor at UBS and has since been active as trader and market room manager for various banks and financial institutions in Switzerland and abroad.
Head of Compliance
Eric Buehler, Head of Compliance, has over thirty years of experience in this field, including twenty years as a compliance manager at Crédit Agricole Indosuez, Mirabaud, Héritage and most recently at Reyl.
Before specializing in this field, Eric was Head of Operations at BNP Paribas and was also responsible for internal audit at Edmond de Rothschild and later at BNP Paribas.
Eric Buehler holds a Master’s degree in Economics from HEC Lausanne and a CAS in Compliance Management from the University of Geneva.
Senior Wealth Manager
Michel Cogne worked at Bank Pictet & Cie for twenty-six years. As Executive Vice President, he was in charge of a significant private client portfolio.
He also developed extensive experience in real estate at Naef Immobilier, where he managed the finance and administration departments for six years.
He started his career in 1982 as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.
Michel Cogne holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Geneva.
Senior Wealth Manager
Jacques de Vogel began his career in auditing in Brussels with Ernst & Young, before spending most of his professional career in Wealth Management, notably in Paris with Banque Eurofin (HSBC), in Monaco with Barclays and Crédit Foncier de Monaco, and then with Crédit Agricole Indosuez in Geneva.
Prior to joining DECALIA, Jacques de Vogel was a Director at Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva.
Jacques de Vogel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the European University of Antwerp and is CWMA certified.
Head of Wealth Management business development
Fabian Dufresne worked at Banque SYZ for twelve years, where he served as Head of Wealth Management.
In 1990, Fabian Dufresne co-founded Intop Training, a Geneva-based management, sales and coaching training company. Prior to that, he worked as Sales Representative and District Manager at Hewlett Packard Switzerland.
He holds a diploma in Microengineering and Computer Science.
Head of ESG Solutions
Francesco Figliomeni worked for a family office, in charge of private equity investments.
Prior to that, Francesco Figliomeni worked for Banca Profilo Spa’s asset management division, where he managed funds and private accounts.
He began his career at Arnoldo Mondadori Editore Spa, as controller and business analyst. Francesco Figliomeni holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.
Senior Wealth Manager
Alberto Ilardi has spent over twenty years at Credit Suisse in Geneva, first as a Business Risk Manager and then as a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking business for the Italian and Monegasque markets.
In 2015, he became Senior Relationship Manager on the Egyptian market for UHNWI clients and was later appointed Director. Before joining Crédit Suisse, Alberto Ilardi was an auditor at Arthur Andersen SA.
Alberto Ilardi holds a Master’s degree in economics from HEC Geneva.
Director – Senior Wealth Manager in Zurich
With extensive banking experience gained at various banks in Frankfurt and Paris, Susanne took over the management of the Zurich branch of Crédit Agricole Indosuez in 1996 and became a member of the Executive Committee in 2001 with responsibility for the European and International private banking business and the independent asset managers’ desk.
In 2016, Susanne joined Banque Heritage in Zurich as Managing Director to further develop a UHNWI client base mainly resident in the Middle East, UK, Switzerland and Singapore.
Susanne holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Free University of Berlin.
Head of Legal
Joël Leibenson has over fifteen years’ experience in banking, private markets, capital and financial markets and auditing.
Prior to joining DECALIA, Joël was Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Patrimonium Asset Management AG since 2022, a fund management company active in four asset classes: Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt and Infrastructure. Before, Joël was Vice President for almost six years in the Legal Capital Markets department of CA Indosuez (Suisse) SA, supporting Asset Management, including its Private Equity platform, and Capital Markets activities. Previously, he was a Senior Manager at PwC, where he supervised regulatory audit works for Swiss and international banks, asset managers and wealth managers. For nearly four years he was also in charge of legal matters for Asset Management in Switzerland at J.P. Morgan.
Joël Leibenson holds a law degree and a doctorate in banking and financial law from the University of Geneva. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley, and an International Certificate in Corporate Finance from HEC Paris.
Head of Operations
Philippe Mathenet worked for seven years at Banque SYZ as private banker and right-hand man to Alfredo Piacentini.
He has over twenty-five years of financial industry experience, notably with Bank Lombard Odier in equity brokerage in New York and Swiss equity fund management in Geneva.
Philippe Mathenet holds a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, as well as a federal diploma in Financial Analysis & Asset Management.
Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management – Deputy CIO – Senior Fund Manager – Member of the Investment Committee – CFA, CMT
Sandro Occhilupo spent 10 years with Banque SYZ as manager of private and institutional portfolios.
Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager at UBS in Geneva and New York for 5 years.
Sandro Occhilupo holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Geneva. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (2001) and Chartered Market Technician (2011).
CIO – Head of Multi-Asset and Fixed Income strategies – Head of the Strategy Committee – Member of the Investment Committee
Fabrizio Quirighetti spent 19 years with SYZ Asset Management, where he was CIO and Head of Multi-Asset.
He also worked as an assistant in the Econometrics department of the University of Geneva for 6 years.
Fabrizio Quirighetti holds a Master degree in Applied Econometrics from the University of Geneva and is an external member of the Tactical Allocation Committee of Compenswiss, the AVS/AI/APG compensation fund since 2014.
Head of Equities – Senior Fund Manager
Alexander Roose has spent fifteen years with Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM), where he was CIO Fundamental Equity overviewing more than EUR 10bn in assets under management. At the same time, he was actively involved in the day-to-day management of five funds totalling more than EUR 6bn.
Before joining DPAM, he was respectively a portfolio manager of a long-short fund at Joalco and thematic analyst at Strategus.
Alexander holds a Master degree in applied Economics from HUB university of Brussels.
CFO – Swiss CPA
Before joining DECALIA, Daniel Salama spent seven years with Banque Bordier & cie as Head of risk management and assisted the CFO on financial and risk topics.
Prior to that, he worked for almost seven years at Price Waterhouse Cooper (PwC) Geneva, where he was Manager in the Assurance Financial Services line.
Daniel Salama holds a Master degree in accounting, control and finance from the University of Geneva and he is a Swiss certified public accountant.
